New lab-on-a-chip system significantly improves IVF embryo culture
Smart Biosystems, an innovations company within cell culturing systems, presents the world’s first commercially available microfluidic cell culture system for IVF at the ESHRE congress in Amsterdam from 28th June to 1st July.
Our lab-on-a-chip invention redefines the way of IVF cell culturing from its previously since 1978 unchanged status. It is a sensitive process and today only 1 out of 4 IVF treatments will result in a child. The IVFLab-6 system automates IVF cell culturing and optimises the cell culture conditions. Due to these IVF chips, human embryos are cultured under much more natural conditions than in a traditional Petri dish.
