IVFLAB-6 MICROFLUIDIC CELL
CULTURE SYSTEM (IVF)
Human embryos nursed in a lab-on-a-chip
IVFLab-6 is the first microfluidic cell culture system. Automating IVF cell culturing and optimising cell culture conditions, it replaces conventional Petri dish culture with no need for moving the embryo from one Petri dish to another. This system reduces the problems in a normal embryo cell culture process and creates a much more natural environment which might highly improve the success rate of the IVF process.
The IVFchip ensures a strictly controlled environment for the sensitive embryos during the culturing process. The embryo is placed in a well with a flow of medium from microfluid channels. The medium (in a two medium protocol) automatically changes during the process in order to optimise growth conditions. The chip is placed in an IVFLab-6 laboratory unit that monitors and controls the micro environment in up to six IVFChips. Each IVFChip is placed in its own CO2 box and contains up to 12 embryos in separate culture wells. The product has been patent registered.
Benefits:
- dynamic culture environment for cells
- reduced culture volume reduces cell washout
- easy to control culture environment due to lower culture volume

- automatic control of medium
- biomimicry – based on biological principles
- 12 culture wells
- all-in-one IVF chip
- two medium control system
- gas perfusion & oil lid
The IVFLab-6 and IVF control unit:
- 6 individually controlled IVFChips
- automatic calibration
- automatic control of medium administration
- direct measurement of pH and temperature
- medium A and B control
